Finally arrived!

Okay, so I finally arrived at the airport in Shreveport, LA after a 24-hour trip from Denmark. Wow I was so damn tired - I almost couldnt stand on my own two legs. Although the trip was really nice! In Heathrow, London I got on the plane to Chicago with a group of other exchange students. I've never been on such a big plane! It was huge! I'll post some pictures soon.

Well then we arrived in Chicago, where Tove and I was transferring on a plane to Houston. It was a mess finding check in, but we made it through and got to our gate in time. From Houston we were going to Shreveport, and we got to the gate an hour early. Here we almost fell asleep. I think, I've never been so tired. When we landed in Shreveport Pat (my hostmom) and Leslie (Tove's hostmom) was there to pick us up. So nice to finally be there!

Today, Sunday, I've met Pat's daughter Caty, whos really really nice. She talks a lot, so thats exciting! Afterwards we went to see an old woman, who was in the hospital. She seemed so sweet! But later we went to chuch to sing, and Pat told me that it was the longest service ever. It was like two hours!! But then after we all ate homemade icecream and cookies. That was really nice!

So thats my first time in Minden, LA!

Leaving for the States!

Hello!

In February I found out, that I'm going to live the year of 2011/2012 in Minden, LA! It's with a 58-year old lady called Patricia, but theres also going to be a czech girl named Clara.. Anyway I'm SO exited! Before I even new this, Louisiana definitly wasn't one of my wishes. All I've ever known the state for is their hurricanes, so I was kind of afraid, when I found out.. But I mean I'm living like 400 kilometres from New Orleans, where all of that happens, so I'm cool with it!
I just got home from the STS Workshop, where I got to meet most of the danish people going as exchangestudents to the U.S. after this summer holiday, and they were so sweet. It was really nice to talk to people, who felt the same way as myself and had the same thoughts about highschool.. :)

I can't wait to go... But first my exam

A refreshing start...

Hello Everybody..!

My name is Nicoline, but most call me Nicole. I'm 14 years old, but I'll turn 15 in January.

In my freetime I usually play and hear a lot of music. Music is a big part of my life, and it has always been. I've been singing pretty much since my first word, and I've been playing piano for almost two years now. Too me music is about expressing myself, and that's why I love to write music, when I'm sad. It will always turn out to something good... - well at least most of it. Besides the music I'm acting and dancing. Last years musical was Mamma Mia, where I played the mother - Donna Sheridan. This year we're going to play Chicago, where I'm hoping to get the part as Velma. I'm not that good at sports, but I actually like playing soccer or something else. Except...I'm always afraid of falling and break a leg, or something just a worse. On weekend nights I love to just throw myself down on the couch and watch a movie or two.
